CVS Pharmacy in Austin, Texas

This pharmacy has been the go-to pharmacy for our family for years. We were concerned that when CVS took over the pharmacy inside Target, the staff we had come to trust would move on. However, CVS has kept the great staff here - except moving some around to other Target stores. The attitude, professionalism, and expertise at this location is way above and beyond what we experience at standalone CVS stores. When the transfer to CVS occurred, our insurance was no longer accepted. But we had come to trust this team - they had caught a dangerous drug interaction from an emergency room script for me once, worked with us when a lost prescription had almost resulted in a cancelled vacation, and kept on the doctor's office when we needed refills. We made the hard decision that, with the exception of two Epi-Pen purchases that were just hundreds cheaper elsewhere, we would continue to use this pharmacy and pay extra rather than switch to another pharmacy. Trust is worth more than a few bucks. Recently, CVS started taking our insurance again - they checked every few refill visits - and the pharmacist was almost as happy as we were (we celebrated with a round of fully-covered free flu shots). I hope CVS recognizes what a great team they have here and how much their customers appreciate them.
