Bridgehead Apartments in Austin, Texas

At first, I really loved this place.. It was quiet, location was great, a hidden gem. But as my year here comes to an end here are some of the things future tenants should consider. - the walls are very very thin. I can hear people getting in and out of their cars. Having conversations in the parking lots. This doesn't bother me that much, but if you have a dog who likes to let you know when someone is "here" be prepared for a lot of barking. - the dog park: not much of a park at all but more of a "here let's fence in this area and never mow it". Mosquito and flea central. - the pool and hot tub: the hot tub is ALWAYS dirty. Hair, dead skin cells, etc floating on top. My boyfriend is a pool tech and tested the hot tub one night. No chroloine at all. The pool lights also do not work. There are constantly little kids (I'm talking under 5 years old) swimming in the hot tub too. I love kids don't get me wrong- but kids that small should not be swimming in such hot water. - the court yard is dark. No path lights or anything. So forget about walking your dog or checking your mail after dusk. Kind of spooky. - the amenities: the workout center is a joke. The pool is old. The "sports court" doesn't even have a tennis net but yet had the poles for one. Same with the volley ball net for the pool. They do not have a business center, which most apartment complexes in the surrounding area do. So if you need to print something off, good luck. - staff isn't very nice... They just want their money. -the bottom of my stairs flood every time it rains. And the apartments down there get flooded as well. - some of the apartments have been updated, but very cheaply. Seems to me that you can get a lot more for your money at one of the surrounding complexes off 2222. The pros: -balconys and porches are very good size -parking is never a problem -close to bull creek, turkey creek, lake Austin -quiet

I have never been sad to leave an apartment complex before until I lived at Bridgehead. When my boyfriend and I signed our lease the complex was under different management that was not very desirable. A few weeks into our lease the property manager left and we got Erin. She has been a blessing to this apartment complex. She sincerely made us and our dogs feel at home, she always approached us with a smile and genuinely seemed to care if we were doing okay. We will miss our quiet beautiful home at Bridgehead and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment!!
